Mortalities occurred in many areas of the Philippines due to the poor condition of the heifer/cows when they left the quarantine area. Surviving cattle are in better shape and pregnant. Some recipients are still waiting for the BAI to pick up the repayment animals.

Dispersal now on-going. After the required recipient evaluations, those approved are now withdrawing their allocations. Please coordinate with your FCRAP area director.

To avoid delays in withdrawing please make sure your allocated cattle are ready to be withdrawn before sending your truck.

Be prepared to pay your quarantine overstaying fee in cash. Computation starts on January 26 as the first day.

The Memorandum of Agreement with the BAI was signed on January 25, 2016

The Australian Heifers for  FCRAP Dispersal arrived on October 29 at Masbate Port. The 30-Day Quarantine Period ended Nov 29. See Gallery for pictures.

Prospective recipients, please:

2. Expect a visit from the Validating Team

3. Prepare your animal repayments

The selectors are back in Manila. Barring delays, the cattle should arrive early November.

On June 10, 2015, the FCRAP Board met with the Bureau of Animal Industry to discuss details of the importation.

The following were decided at the meeting:

1. List of prospective recipients will be provided to Mr. Bernales ASAP.   

2. Submission of final list to be provided to the BAI by July 31, 2015 by FCRAP

3. Maximum  number  of head  per  member  is  5 heads;  repayment  animals  will be evaluated by EBT and ear tagged;

4. Draft MOA between FCRAP and BAI will be provided to Mr. Bernales by June 19, 2015.

5. Selection and collection of repayment animals are to be conducted during the quarantine period by the EBT team; selection by FCRAP members of their imported animals is by drawing lots.

6. EBCLOP Team (EBT) expenses are for each member's account.

7. Team is composed of:

   Area directors of FCRAP

   BAl-AGIP Team member

   DA-RFO GIP Coordinator

8. Quarantine site is Masbate
